Songs that I hate more than anything.

Going Home - Daughtry - I am sorry Carmen. You know that I love you and some of your music is okay, but this song will plague my mind forever, and only about 10 seconds of the chorus because of your ring tone. First, let me tell everyone what I think about American Idol: it's ruining the industry. People with actual talent? What the hell is that? It's stupid, that's what it is, and it has no place in the pop/rock genre. They are the people that should be doing something with their voices that requires the vocal range that those people achieve, like Broadway or country music. I don't know if Daughtry won or not, I just know he's from Idol and for that reason alone I don't like him. Plus, he's a less harsh version of Nickleback/Pearl Jam (those bands suck, in case you didn't know).

When You're Gone - Avril Lavigne Again, another ring tone/alarm clock song that I only knew the first ten seconds of and oh, oh, how horrible it was. First off, it's Avril Lavigne. I know she's poppy, she's catchy, she's got super kewl clothes and really neat pink extensions and wears Tarina Tarantino jewelry every now and then, but everyone should know she sucks for one reason: She's from Canada. Canada has only provided two good things: Tegan & Sara. Even 4/5 of Stargate is filmed in Canada, coincidentally all the planets that have a Northwest setting are used for the episodes that suck. That's what Avril Lavigne is- she's one of the crappy planets of Stargate that has zero substance, the same look and sound over and over, and no matter how much the plot changes, you can't escape the fact that you're still looking and listening to the same crap that you were listening to years ago.

Anything by Kimya Dawson She's not that cool. Get over it.

Another story (I don't have any more songs I hate right now, I was just feeling passionate): Say there's a friend, hypothetically, that wants to go see Panic at the Disco because she got their new CD and claims that it's catchy. Now, do I disown Lauren or do I encourage her variety in music tastes or do I kill her? Come on, guys, they don't even have an exclamation point in their name anymore! That was the only thing they had left.

Megan makes blog, says it may be updated often

One day this will be filled with all sorts of posts about things I like in the music industry. Right now there is nothing as I haven't started to write yet. I won't pretend to be a genius when it comes to music, I'm mainly making this so I can keep track of my music trends and see what I like for however long I like it. Oh, and I'm also trying to be witty.
